Piers is a Cambridge graduate and has spent over 20 years in the human capital services sector, building start-ups, managing turn-arounds and leading some of the world’s largest global enterprises, both public and private.
Piers' early career was in private equity, following which he founded and built two UK recruitment firms, Nb Selection and Selector Europe which he reversed into the global search firm, SpencerStuart. During an extensive career with Spencer Stuart he became Managing Partner UK and Managing EMEA.
Piers has served as Global COO of SpencerStuart, Chairman & CEO of Heidrick & Struggles and CEO of Whitehead Mann.
In addition to being the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the group, he is a Director of the emerging markets London based bank, Heritage Capital, a Director of software company Candex and Chairman of London based search firm, Wilton & Bain.
