We are executing a leadership role of Dean- Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences with one of the leading University in Pune.
- The Dean, Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences will provide strategic direction, academic planning leadership and administrative oversight to achieve the highest standards in computer & data sciences education and research. The Dean will promote innovative approaches to program and professional training development and delivery, increase research output and funding support, and facilitate partnerships with other Faculties. He/she will work collaboratively with academic, industry and public/private sector partners to further enhance its national and international stature.
He/She will be expected to -
• Lead the academic planning process of the Faculty by initiating discussions, defining priorities, and developing and articulating its vision.
• Provide strategic leadership in the development of research activity to capitalize upon the expertise, interests and resources of the Faculty, and to ensure alignment with the University’s research strategy.
• Stimulate and support excellence and integrity in teaching, learning, research and University service.
• Promote the research activities of faculty members and ensure that their contributions to the success of the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences.
• Ensure cooperative integration among the research centers, support units, and academic units within and related to the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences.
The desirable would be:
- The Dean, Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences will be an accomplished academic and visionary leader with a record of building strong teams, fostering academic innovation, managing resources, and promoting multi-disciplinary initiatives.
- The incumbent is expected to have Tier 1 Indian University/ Foreign university experience or a PhD in CSE from a renowned Foreign university or alternatively with very strong pedigree from IIT, NIT, IISc.
- Strong research experience in AI, ML, Data Science.
- Have experience in teaching and research in advance ,computing subjects and creating the department from inception.
