Head/Manager Engineering

We are looking for Head of Engineering, who can manage the entire stack, and lead tech efforts for all our products. This is an opportunity to play a key role as we build out a disruptive company in an exciting space.

What will you be doing?

Technical Management

? Own the technical architecture and drive the engineering design.

? Create, improve and drive operational excellence, quality, security and privacy initiatives across the entire engineering team.

? Research for new technologies which can solve the challenges faced by engineering team better.

? Provide hands-on technical inputs to design, maintenance, build, integration and testing of complex software according to functional and technical design specifications

 

People Management

? You will lead and coach backend and front-end developers, Data Science Engineers and Testers

? You should know to scale or downsize depending upon the planned outcomes for short/medium term. For this, need based temp hiring becomes vital and you should be adept at that.

 

Project Management

? Being accountable for on-time, high-quality road map execution.

? You will provide code estimates, resource needs, milestones and risks; ensure effective delegation, monitor tasks, identify risks and handle mitigation and escalations.

 

Organization

? Representing engineering at the leadership level.

? Implement and manage company-wide security protocols and compliances

? Manage realistic expectations with stakeholders

 

Requirements

 

? Telematics, E-commerce storage application/WMS experience is good to have

? Hands-on experience in .net, php, Node.JS (or any other Web Framework), NoSQL DBs and Relational Database

? Good understanding of distributed systems, micro-services, messaging systems and associated architectural patterns

? Exposure to data science and machine learning is a must

? Experience of building low-latency, high-availability, and performance applications.

? Experience working in an agile team environment and proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

? Good expertise in cloud technologies AWS, azure, google cloud etc

? Willingness to learn new technologies

Experience: 10-12 yrs

Education: Engg. Degree from a reputed institute
