Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
Establish and maintain a strong relationship with internal stakeholders to ensure their technology needs are met
Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements and identify opportunities to leverage them to improve the company's products and services
Oversee the development and maintenance of all technology systems and infrastructure
Lead the technology team and provide guidance and support to ensure they are able to deliver high-quality work
Manage the technology budget and ensure the company is getting the most value out of its technology investments
Ensure the technology systems and data are secure and compliant with all relevant regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology management, with a focus on asset management
Strong leadership and management skills
Proven experience in developing and implementing technology strategies
Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure and systems
Experience with financial systems and data management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Experience with asset management systems and platforms, such as trading systems, portfolio management systems, and risk management systems
Knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies
Understanding of regulatory requirements for asset management and portfolio management companies
Ability to manage technology vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of projects and services
Experience with data analytics and reporting tools, such as BI and data visualization tools
Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity and data privacy measures

Additionally, the CTO of an AMC/PMS company should have a deep understanding of the business operations and be able to translate the business requirements into technology solutions. They should be able to work closely with the other business leaders to understand the current and future technology needs and align technology solutions accordingly. They should have a proven track record of delivering technology projects on time and within budget. They should be able to lead and mentor the technology team members and help them to grow and develop.
It is essential that the CTO of an AMC/PMS company is able to think strategically and be able to balance the short term and long-term technology needs of the company. They should be able to create a technology roadmap that aligns with the company's overall business objectives, anticipate future technology trends and adjust the strategy accordingly.
